Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. May be asked to participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications:

· Requires previous experience assisting with scrubbing procedures and monitoring data, preferably in a Cardiovascular Lab.

· ACLS (must be AHA)

· BLS (must be AHA)

· Must have COVID vaccination

· At least 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty

· Proficient computer skills.

· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

· Ability to work independently as well as part of team

· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals

Education:

· Cardiovascular technician training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

· Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised.

· Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

· Experience with using everyday technology tools (e.g, email, Microsoft Office, voicemail, internet/intranet to access, organize and store job-related information. EMR.
