Position Summary:
Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks using state of the art ultrasound technologies that will collect reflected echoes and form images that are interpreted for use in diagnosis and treatment by the physician.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares medical equipment, instruments, sterile procedures and medical supplies
- Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which include proper positioning, adequately explaining procedures to patients and relieving fear and concern of the patient.
- Assist medical and professional personnel during diagnostic procedures
- Handling of instruments, operating and monitoring equipment, making the physician aware of image reading and alerting physician of patient discomfort or changes in conditions
- Evaluate and analyze image quality to obtain adequate representation of pathogenic conditions and sufficient coverage of test area
- Processes films in accordance with standard procedures or techniques
- Maintain patient records including images and reports
- Verify correct patient information links into the appropriate patient chart
- Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Clean and sterilize instruments and stock supplies as required
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to students, staff and medical residents
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or other authorized TVE Manager or Executive
Required Experience, Education & Licensure:
Candidates and incumbents must possess an Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in Imaging technologies with at least one (1) years of directly related experience in a hospital, surgical center or related environment. RVT or eligible to obtain registry. Incumbent must also possess an active, professional license issued by the State if required. Must have knowledge of ultrasonic physics and instrumentation as well as mechanical, electrical and ultrasound safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment.
