JOB TITLE: Part Time Circulating Cath lab/ Recovery RN for private outpatient interventional radiology practice

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid NYS RN license
• Prior surgery and medical office experience
• Current CPR certification
• ACLS certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Familiar with the use of procedure room equipment including but not limited to suction, crash cart, EKG monitor, End Tidal Co2 monitor, defibrillator, etc.
• Ensure regular procedure room and recovery room equipment maintenance and servicing, according to established policies.
• Assist as needed in the cath lab
• Monitor patients in recovery room
• Assist in the procedure room set-up and patient prep with the necessary supplies and equipment for each procedure along with clean-up and decontamination after each procedure
• Complete and maintain the medical records and verify information and orders, pre-operative and post-operative to ensure all documents are up to date and filled out properly
• Educate patients and family about diagnostic procedures, surgical procedures, pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness
• Communicate and interpret physician's instructions to patients and answer any patient questions
• Coordinate patient care activities for the procedure room and recovery room
