Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. - 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year associate degree in technology plus 5 years of experience.
- Licensed Electrician.
- Experience in the following core areas: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, PLC logic, CNC and pneumatics.
- Experience with Allen Bradly RS500/RS5000, GE Series 9030, Koyo (Direct Soft 32), Eaton.
- Must have a strong familiarity and knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and processes, to include operation of presses, shears, welding units and overhead cranes and hoisting systems.
- Must have ability to comprehend complex internal documents such as bills of materials, blue prints, machine schematics, PLC logic diagrams, electrical diagrams and work orders.
- Must have experience using electric, pneumatic, hand tools and forklifts.
- Experience using pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.
- Must have demonstrated ability to rely upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
