Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. 3. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services to customers.
4. Complete repairs and service orders efficiently and accurately, documenting work performed and parts used in accordance with dealership procedures.
5. Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation and identify any additional issues.
6. Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and address any questions or concerns.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and service bays, to ensure efficiency and safety.
8. Stay informed about current automotive technology, diagnostic techniques, and manufacturer updates through training and continuing education.
9. Follow dealership and manufacturer guidelines for warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns, ensuring compliance with warranty and safety standards.
10. Collaborate with other technicians and service department staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
