Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are looking for an energetic outgoing outpt cath lab rn to monitor and care for pts pre and post op after having outpt endovascular procedures under the supervision of the medical doctor
Should be familiar with usage /side effects/etc. for medications such as fentanyl/versed /morphine etc.
able to work closely with the entire cath lab team, md , nurses and office staff
able to work all day wednesdays early am to late afternoon
must have bls /acls certification
