Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • Description:

    BASS Medical Group is seeking a full time Vascular Technologist to join our busy, outpatient vascular lab in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    This position will consist of duties including:

    • Perform Vascular Ultrasound exams on patients with a referral from a doctor.
    • Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure proper exam is conducted
    • Apply independent, professional, ethical judgement and critical thinking to safely perform ultrasound procedures.
    • As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the referring provider.
    • Identify and document any limitations to the ultrasound exam.
    • Call in service for ultrasound equipment when needed
    • Obtain patient history, explain standard procedure and address patient concerns
    • Communicate STAT result to Dr.
    • Follow-up on STAT results with referring provider
    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
    • Successfully complete EPIC training
    • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
    Requirements:
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

    Mandatory Qualifications

    • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
    • RVT or obtain RVT within 6 months of hire date.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfort with interacting with the elderly and disabled
    • Medical terminology
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    Must be competent in the following exams:

    • Aortoiliac, AAA, and Endograft Surveillance
    • Lower extremity Arterial and ABI
    • Bypass graft
    • Lower extremity Venous DVT and reflux
    • Extracranial Cerebrovascular
    • Upper Extremity Arterial
    • Upper Extremity Venous
    • Hemodialysis Access Fistula and Graft, Vein Mapping
    • Visceral/Mesenteric
    • Renal
    • Pre-op and Post-op Venous ablation
    • Lower and Upper Extremity Vein Mapping

    Job Status: Full Time & Part Time Positions Available

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
    • Bilingual – Spanish

    Pay Scale/Ranges:

    $33.00-$68.00/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
