Vascular Technician jobs in Wichita, KS
Vascular Technician performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation. Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results. Being a Vascular Technician may perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression. Requires an associate degree in medical sonography or equivalent. Additionally, Vascular Technician may require the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential. Typically reports to a physician or manager. Vascular Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This position assists in the treatment and care of patients in the Operating Room under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. Provides assistance to the Operating Room staff by scrubbing for surgical procedures in accordance with the established policies and procedures for the Surgery Center. This responsibility includes the preparation, assembly and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the surgical procedure that is scheduled.
