Vault Rivercenter is looking for professional, energetic, customer service driven candidates that are passionate about the hospitality industry and excited to join our growing team! Vault is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee along the riverwalk. Starting wage is $6.00 an hour based on experience plus tips! Nights and weekends are required for this position.

Job Summary:

The Vault cocktail server will serve alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks served.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Uphold the highest standards of customer service towards all staff and guests, ensure that the service is personal, professional and exceptional.
• Ability to interact with customers by greeting them, taking orders, making recommendations, and performing steps of service with ease.
• Maintains the cleanliness of bar tables, seating areas and overall appearance of the designated location.
• Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Collects money from customers for drinks prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Ability to perform opening and closing duties independently or amongst a team.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of drink ingredients and craft cocktails.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
• Must be available to work on a rotating roster especially on the weekends.
• Ability to remain calm and troubleshoot when dealing with demanding patrons.
• Must be an excellent team player with exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn cash register software used by bar.

Education and Experience:

• Learn to Serve certification
• Wine service knowledge

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Ability to enter orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be legal drinking age or older.
• Ability to work in an outdoor/outdoor environment during the summer season.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $6.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
