Vehicle Maintenance Manager assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations. Being a Vehicle Maintenance Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Vehicle Maintenance Manager develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participate in claim resolution. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Job Title: Office Assistant/Customer Service Rep.

SUMMARY
The rendering of clerical duties including, but not limited to, typing, handling money, telephone service and impoundment, inspection, and release of vehicles in the care and custody of the Vehicle Impound Facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous clerical, customer service, and cash handling experience.
· Must be able to operate computer, various software programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher. The ability to communicate via email and telephone.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Possess a valid Driver License
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
· Remain knowledgeable of laws, policies, and procedures governing the Vehicle Storage operations.
· Impound vehicles following prescribed procedures and enter this information into TOPS in an accurate and timely manner.
· Release vehicles following prescribed procedures and ensure an accurate accounting of all charges against the vehicle is collected.
· Maintain an accurate accounting of money and charges collected during the assigned shift.
· Provide competent, courteous service to the public.
· Provide accurate information and directions over the telephone using prescribed telephone procedures.
· Maintain responsibility for the completion of necessary reports and forms required in the performance of their duties.
· Update information in TOPS when applicable.
· Document all citizen complaints concerning the unit.
· Work with all city police units in the placing and removing of “Holds” on certain vehicles impounded at the storage facility.
DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers. Spanish speaking preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or verbal. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to recognize when assistance or additional tools are needed as determined by the type of assignment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require standing for prolonged periods. May require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required for duties. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed primarily indoors in an office setting.
