Vehicle Maintenance Manager assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations. Being a Vehicle Maintenance Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Vehicle Maintenance Manager develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participate in claim resolution. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Vehicle Maintenance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Role Summary

    Launch Program Management is a cross functional management role that collaborates with product development and operations organizations to bring new vehicles to market. In this role, you will partner with the cross functional team including design engineering, supply chain, operations, production control, and manufacturing engineering, and Launch Quality and support in planning, and executing Pre-Production Builds, Plant Trials and support Launches. You will lead implementing major product changes and cost saving initiatives ensuring cross functional plant operations team delivering high quality vehicles to our customers.


    Responsibilities

    • Lead and participate in various cross-functional Program and Manufacturing Readiness forums. Provide clear updates on status and recovery plans as necessary at both working and executive level.
    • Plan, organize, and orchestrate all pre-launch build activities. Develop production ramp up plan with operations teams.
    • Manage and track all required activities and execution through managing risks and issues. Escalate issues and problems timely manner with key stakeholders and management.
    • Build planning - creation of build plans based on organizational requirements - and then maintaining the plan by chairing planning meetings, analyzing material risks, and navigating tradeoffs when conflicts in demand arise.
    • Lead the operations readiness workstream, ensuring target objectives are met and escalate/develop recovery plans as needed.
    • Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, production, production control, sales, service, etc.
    • Author project status, summary, and issue resolution tracking reports.
    • Knowledge in project management, project status, summary, and issue resolution.
    • Knowledge in problem solving methods and tools.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS Engineering, Masters preferred
    • 3 years of experience in production or engineering environment, with experience in launching products from prototype to serial production
    • Assembly Plant Operations knowledge of complex production lines involving production control, material handling, supply chain, quality, and production team required
    • Knowledge in Automotive Engineering, Product Development and Project Management is desired
    • Experience in Product Development, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or supply chain highly desired
    • Understanding of manufacturing/production validation (MV or PV) Builds and plant trial runs (PTR) in relation to complex new products and process.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Team player; ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional teams.
