Vehicle Maintenance Manager assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations. Being a Vehicle Maintenance Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Vehicle Maintenance Manager develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participate in claim resolution. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Vehicle Maintenance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Rail Vehicle Maintenance Advisor

  • ENSCO is seeking a specialist in Rail Vehicle Maintenance matters to serve as Rail Vehicle Maintenance Advisor at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC). This position will report to the Program Manager, and will be responsible for providing industry, site knowledge, & training pertaining to inspection, evaluation, & reporting on performing rail vehicle maintenance.

    The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to:
    Providing historic information, knowledge, & background of the Rail Vehicle Maintenance equipment of the TTC.

    Providing training for employees of ENSCO on specific topics such as:
    -Hegenscheidt wheel lathe operation
    -AAR rail vehicle maintenance
    -Locomotive Maintenance
    • Bachelors or equivalent, minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in managing Rail Vehicle Maintenance activities
    • Experience working at the TTC
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be flexible in a fast pasted environment.
    • Ability to build professional & courteous relationships with colleagues, supervisors, & direct reports
    • Ability to work independently & as part of a diverse, interdisciplinary team
    • Ability to safely climb a 15-foot-high ladder

    Railroad regulations require that the selected candidate must pass an e-RAILSAFE security background check and online safety tests to work on railroad properties. Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest, and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
