Vehicle Maintenance Manager assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations. Being a Vehicle Maintenance Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Vehicle Maintenance Manager develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participate in claim resolution. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Vehicle Maintenance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising all maintenance team members, and keeping hotel current with all building and operating permits and licenses. Work with outside vendors on various projects. Mentor, teach and train maintenance team members in all skills required to maintain facility. Facilitate safety committee meetings. Prepare budgets and bids for repair projects throughout facility.
Duties:
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and systems
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to guest experience
- Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, ordering replacements as needed
