SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

  • Duties

    • You will interpret the impact of budgetary program changes to program managers and staff officials.
    • You will analyze budgetary problems to develop alternative methods of funding.
    • You will prepare financial documents which communicate trends and financial projections of expenditures.
    • You will perform cost analysis and budget estimates to assess the financial condition of an organization.

    • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
    • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
    • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.

    Qualifications

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; presenting and defending budget estimates; AND analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizational programs and administrative operations.

    This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
