Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports Orgel Wealth Management’s wealth management team and plays a significant role in the ongoing service of clients. The Financial Analyst primarily will be responsible for collecting and analyzing financial information, preparing custom client-facing performance reports and investment portfolio analyses, and maintaining knowledge of Orgel Wealth Management’s portfolio strategies. The ideal candidate will have a background and relevant experience in finance, economics, and investment analysis. The Financial Analyst works collaboratively as part of a team and must exhibit strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a commitment to serving clients with excellence, and the ability to operate with a high level of independence and accountability.
Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of investment portfolios, financial products, and investment opportunities and assist with the development of reports designed to communicate analysis and recommendations to clients
- Prepare custom performance reports for clients, ensuring portfolio themes are clearly communicated and all data is timely, compliant, and accurate
- Perform in-depth research across a variety of substantive areas to assist with responses to client questions and provide recommendations, as appropriate
- Compose written internal and client-facing communications, including presentations, recommendations, and analyses
- Partner with Senior Relationship Managers and our in-house Research Team to develop innovative ways to communicate information to clients in a timely and impactful manner
- Assist with the creation of internal and client communications designed to provide information on current portfolio positioning, investment themes, and topical economic and market events
- Leverage quantitative analytical skills to evaluate and model various investment products and investment strategies
- Simplify complicated concepts in order to help clients understand our asset management process

- Leverage technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Practifi (Salesforce), Tamarac, Morningstar, Bloomberg, and other software applications as necessary
Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university
- Education or experience related to finance, investments, and data analysis
- 3 or more years of investment-related financial industry experience
- Progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar designation
- Selected candidates will be expected to successfully complete the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam, or approved alternative designation that satisfies regulatory requirements, within six months of starting employment
