Job Description
Munoz Engineering is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for its Corpus Christi office for the role of a Structural Inspector. This individual will be responsible to meet safety policies our company has created and oversee the product development process to ensure that all projects meet quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing visual and physical inspections at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company quality standards are followed. If you have previous experience with quality inspection in the Construction industry, we want to hear from you.
Requirements & Experience
· 1-2 years of Quality Control Inspection Experience
· High School Diploma
· Hold a valid driver’s license
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Proven history of understanding construction safety standards and quality expectations.
· Knowledge of Windstorm Building Code, International Residential Code, and International Building Code.
· Maintain effective verbal communication skills
· Operating a motor vehicle in congested traffic conditions in a safe manner in compliance with traffic laws.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Physically examine residential and commercial structures during construction, repair, and or/ alteration to ensure compliance with building code guidelines and adherence to specifications and plans.
· Perform technical research concerning the methods of construction, structural materials, finishes, and other materials involved in the construction.
· Prepare accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports outlining the cause and origin of the damages to the client in a timely manner and in accordance with client expectations.
· Interact with clients such as contractors, architects, homeowners, and realtors, on a regular basis. Establish trusting, working relationships based on knowledge, experience and integrity.
· Travel to project site location for inspections, some inspections may occur the ability to climb a ladder and/or scaffold.
