Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Arthrex is actively searching for a Vendor Management Office Contracts Analyst III. The selected professional will be developing and managing critical vendor relationships that include professional services. This includes reviewing and negotiating contracts to support Vendor Management Office indirect procurement associated with requirements for goods and professional technical consulting services. These include but are not limited to, consulting and software purchase agreements. Actively partner with legal and business unit stakeholders to develop and execute negotiation strategies that include optimal pricing, service, and quality targets.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for Vendor Relationship Management (VRM) including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), negotiation, contract compliance, and terminating agreements as required
    • Establish and maintain internal and external customer relations
    • Manage end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process for assigned verticals
    • Consult with business stakeholders to facilitate review of contract scope, terms, service levels, and pricing leading and directing them in vendor and contract management processes
    • Perform initial review, analysis, redline, and negotiation of contracts using established Legal, Compliance, Security, and Procurement guidelines to drive contracts through execution while adhering to policies and procedures
    • Ensure financial data for purchase requests are accurately accounted for within budget and resource forecasts
    • Negotiate contracts to meet stakeholder objectives while achieving maximum overall cost-effectiveness
    • Participate in and support the evaluation of vendors through the Vendor Scorecard Process
    • Partner with VMO Specialist/Analyst on SAP PREQ and PO processing for contracts
    • Manage Contract Lifecycle Management (contract close-out, extension, or renewal, as appropriate) and supporting documents of vendor agreements in Salesforce
    • Provide contract-related issue resolution for vendor issues and disputes
    • Make recommendations and adhere to procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with Company Policy
    • Perform miscellaneous projects as needed to support business units
    • Engage in ongoing process improvement strategies to streamline sourcing and procurement to ensure sourcing initiatives are aligned with organizational business plans and performance objectives
    • Engage in special projects as assigned

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 years of relevant work experience required

    Specialized Skills:

    • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLookups), PowerPoint, Visio and Word skills
    • Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP and Apttus (Subject Matter Expert)
    • Problem solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Ability to independently manage and resolve vendor disputes

    Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Expected to display general working knowledge of contract management body of knowledge
    • Gain experience in multi-tasking and prioritizing work
    • Able to perform routine transaction processing and standard, repeatable monthly tasks
    • Expected to gain and demonstrate full knowledge of assigned verticals
    • Ability to independently draft contracts and apply rules that govern contract performance in different situations
    • Define, track and report on contract key performance indicators
    • Ability to demonstrate and apply critical thinking skills to aid in business decisions
    • Strong sense of the practical application of contract principles
    • Ability to convey principles with clarity

    Technology Agreements:

    • Negotiates and manages contract life cycles, with an emphasis on technology agreements.
    • Works extensively with internal customers, external vendors and legal to ensure effective contract administration, these could include IT management, application managers, project managers, and strategy and planning organizations. Contracts range from End User License Agreements to Software as a Service.
    • Oversees the maintenance of technology agreements to track renewals.
    • Provides oversight to vendor directed software audits where required, direct true-up/reconciliation schedules in concert with renewals team.

    Professional Services:

    • Negotiates and manages contract life cycles, with an emphasis on professional technical consulting agreements.
    • Works extensively with internal customers, external vendors and legal to ensure effective contract administration and that an accurate, detailed SOW is included in contracts.
    • Contracts can range from commodity products and services to highly complex outsourcing relationships with multiple vendors, contracts, and contract schedules.
    • Oversees the creation and maintenance of professional service contracts in Apttus to track key engagement milestones (expirations, renewals).
    • Facilitates scorecard reviews and performance improvement plans for professional service vendors.

    Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

    Virtual machines and laptops. Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.


    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.


    Language and Communication Skills:

    Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
