Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Lexington, KY

Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Requirements: 
    - Prior Analytical Lab and Prior Analytical Testing 
    - Entry level position for individuals who use their understanding of science to perform the basic and critical experimental work of day-to-day analysis, including
    generation and analysis of data.
    - “Hands On” in an analytical lab and requires analytical testing, computer operating, record keeping, and report writing abilities.
    - Will perform the quality testing needed for raw material, in-process, finished goods, stability, and cleaning validation analysis.

    Responsibilities: 
    - Perform efficient/reliable/high quality analytical testing in accordance with USP/NF/EP/JP/FCC/etc. or customer supplied guidelines. Typical testing may include
      Dissolution, Titration, Polarimetry, Loss on Drying, Viscosity, Residue on Ignition, Heavy Metal Content, FTIR, HPLC, and GC, etc.
    - Maintain accurate written records of all analysis performed.
    - Accurately interpret and effectively communicate analytical results and issues.
    - Schedule daily tasks in an organized and efficient manner.
    - General knowledge of the use and operation of basic laboratory equipment.
    - Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation.
