Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in New London, CT

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Chester CT. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and will perform the quality control functions under the direction of the Quality Control Manager. Will conduct qualitative testing on raw materials and finished goods.

Objectives

• Perform critical dimension checks on incoming products and raw materials
• Perform visual quality inspection of incoming finished products
• Complete and maintain inspection documents
• Control the flow of items into and out of the QC area.
• Perform first piece and inspections as determined by frequency noted on check production sheets
• Computer data entry using SAP System
• Create NMR’s and control rejected material
• Provide support to receiving identifying material as needed

Required Skills

• Read and understand engineering drawings (dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Use callipers, metric tape, and other basic measuring devices
• Use a pallet jack and fork lift as required
• Observe all safety requirements
• Strong math skills
• Read and understand English
• Determine fine color distinctions
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Work without direct supervision
• Lift up to 45 lbs without assistance
• Use a pallet jack and fork lift as required

Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical School preferred

Required Work Experience

• Experience working in manufacturing or similar environment
• 1-2 years of inspection and/or production experience preferred

Work Environment and Position Type/Standard Hours of Work

• Full Time; M-F, 40/week. Overtime may be required.
