Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Portland, OR

Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Position Overview
    The Vendor Analyst is responsible for supporting consultants in serving the firm's retirement plan clients on matters related to their recordkeeping vendor. Areas of focus include new client onboarding, vendor fee benchmarking and fee changes, recordkeeping vendor search, and vendor implementation support.
    Primary Responsibilities

    • New client and plan onboarding
      • Initial data request
      • Collection and filing of documents
      • Setup and configuration of internal systems such as document management folders and CRM system
    • Vendor fee benchmarking
      • Ongoing clients, project clients, and prospective client fee benchmarking
      • Data request and collection
      • Comprehension and interpretation of service provider agreements
      • Creation of fee benchmarking reports
    • Vendor fee changes
      • Coordination of vendor fee changes with recordkeeping vendors
      • Updates to CRM system to reflect changes in vendor fee structure
    • Vendor search project support
      • Initial data request
      • Collection and filing of vendor search data
      • Updates to CRM to reflect changes in recordkeeping vendor relationships
    • Vendor due diligence
      • Collection and entry of vendor capabilities data
      • Attendance at recordkeeping vendor due diligence meetings

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Goal-oriented and self-motivated to achieve objectives
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Demonstrated analytical mindset
    • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and vendors
    • Interest in learning the retirement plan industry
    • Demonstrated attention to detail
