    Job Summary/Basic Function:
    The Venture Course is a free, accredited, interdisciplinary, college course for adults living on low incomes in the Ogden area who have not had an opportunity to attend college. Day care, transportation, and books are all provided for this two-semester course. Venture is a partnership between Utah Humanities and Weber State University, which provides major funding for the course and transferable academic credits for the successful completion of course requirements. The Site Coordinator is a key figure in the success of the Ogden Venture Course. They simultaneously play the roles of administrator, mentor, confidant, and advocate. The Coordinator ensures that high academic standards and decorum are maintained, addresses students' problems, and sees that administrative tasks and unexpected contingencies are taken care of.

    Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years of related experience that may include administrative support, student oversight or mentoring, or marketing

    The hourly rate for this 0.42 FTE position starts at $15.00 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position is eligible for benefits.

    Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
