Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and providing general animal care. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animals and possess excellent technical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and microbiology
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer any questions or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques
- Understanding of aseptic technique for surgical procedures
- Experience with equine or large animal care is a plus
- Basic knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
