Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate veterinary assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care and welfare, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries
• Provide compassionate care and handling of animals
• Perform routine procedures, such as administering medications, taking vital signs, and collecting samples
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic/hospital, including exam rooms, treatment areas, surgery, and kennels
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on animal care and wellness
• Handle appointments and client inquiries with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
• Proficient in animal restraint techniques
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with animals preferred
