Advanced Veterinary Care of Plano, a small 2 doctor animal practice located in Plano, TX is seeking a long term, full time veterinary assistant / veterinary technician. No degree is required; however a strong work ethic and proficiency in both the technical and customer service sides of the job are musts. Minimal reception work is required, but no prior experience in reception is necessary.
The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, drug and tobacco free, works well with others and has excellent work ethic. Duties include monitoring surgeries, performing dental cleanings, venopuncture, catheter placement, answering phones, scheduling appointments, excellent client communication, entering information in paperless medical records. You must be available to work during the week on rotating shifts (morning and afternoon) shift and every other weekend.
Experience with Cornerstone software system and Idexx Lab Machines a plus.
