Veterinary Assistant jobs in Daytona Beach, FL

Multi doctor, small animal general practice in Palm Coast, is looking for compassionate and self-motivated full time Veterinary Assistant/Technician to add to our seasoned veterinary medical team. Candidates must have a high degree of organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Ideal candidates have attention to detail, are self-starters and eager to learn. Willingness to adopt established protocols is essential, while also exhibiting creative and effective problem solving skills is a plus.

Primary duties will include:

• Assisting Technicians and Doctors
• Restocking supplies, prepping and loading exam rooms
• Professionally communicating with clients
• Assisting with surgery and monitoring patients post-surgery
• Conducting and/or assisting with dental procedures
• Restraining patients
• Administer medication and immunizations
• Collect blood, urine, and tissue samples for lab tests
• Functional knowledge of Avimark software is a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
