Veterinary Assistant jobs in Helena, MT

Grant Creek Veterinary Services, located in Missoula, MT, is searching for a Veterinary Assistant to join our small animal practice. Prior veterinary, humane society, or other animal-related experience is preferred, however, we’re also open to training.

We are looking to hire a full-time role M-F (4-10s). No weekends!

Background and experience:

• Comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
• Exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong work ethic, punctual and has the ability to jump in and help where needed
• Hard worker with a desire to learn and ability to grow through constructive criticism
• Familiar with (or eager to learn about) the veterinary field (terminology, procedures, medical conditions, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Taking patient histories
• Assisting in exams
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Injection and medication administration
• Gentle patient restraint
• Pharmacy duties
• Blood draws
• IVC placement
• Outpatient procedures
• General hospital cleaning
• Client service and communication
• Assisting the front desk as needed
