Village Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the team!

We utilize our assistants to their fullest and our dynamic environment provides ongoing engagement and learning (even for those who have been in the industry for many years!)

Who we are looking for:
Compassionate, motivated, Veterinary Assistants with at least 3 years of current, hands-on experience including proficiency working with anesthesia and dentistry. Candidates who have experience with the skills below are encouraged to apply!

• Client communication and education
• Welcoming and discharging patients
• Gentle patient handling and restraint
• Vaccine and medication administration
• Blood draws and IVC placement
• Dental prophy including scaling, polishing, charting and radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• Pharmacy and laboratory duties
• Outpatient procedures
• Assisting throughout the hospital as needed

• Bonus Package: $500 for vet assistants with 3 years of current of experience

Village Veterinary Clinic is Lompoc’s local AAHA-accredited practice offering treatment to animals across the central California coast. We primarily see small and large animals and exotics. We are equipped to handle anything from routine to emergency, as well as boarding, grooming, hospitalization, and intensive care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
