Veterinary Assistant

Pine Meadow Veterinary Hospital in Yorktown, VA

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Executing treatment orders

Collecting voided urine samples

Administering medications

Keeping cages clean and sanitized

Walking, feeding, and picking up after the animals

Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage, etc.)

Communicating with clients via phone and in-person

Assist with taking radiographs

Restraining animals

Assist with outpatient procedures

Filling prescribed medications

Perform basic grooming services – bathing pets, nail trims

REQUIREMENTS 

1 plus year veterinary experience or education preferred, no experience or education required

Team-oriented

Ability to multi-task

Ability to lift 50 pounds
