Veterinary Assistant prepares treatment room for examination of animals; restrains animals during examination, treatment, or inoculation. Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision of a veterinarian. A veterinary hospital in PetSmart - West Dublin is looking for new veterinary assistants!!!
About us
We opened our clinic in January 2023, we are excited to find the right person to build up our hospital together. We are starting with one doctor and plan on getting accreditation from AAHA soon. We have state-of-the-art in house blood work/urinalysis machines, new digital xrays, dental machines, dental xrays, etc. We are using Rhapsody, the cloud based platform for medical notes and workflow.
