Lighthouse Veterinary Care for Cats is a Feline Exclusive Veterinary practice located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We are growing and currently have an open position available for an experienced Veterinary Assistant. This is a part-time or full-time position.

We are passionate about cats, educating our clients and love to foster a family oriented atmosphere. We want our clients to feel at home and work hard to keep our feline friends happy, healthy and comfortable.

Here at LVCC we work hard, but take time to laugh and enjoy our time even in the course of a busy day. Our current team members are extremely dedicated, committed individuals who always go above and beyond to demonstrate the best care to our patients and show kindness and attention to our clients. We are looking for a new team member to share this same level of dedication and patient care.

At least two - three years of experience is required. Training through a Veterinary Assistant program is preferred, but not required. The love of cats, experience with, and feeling comfortable with handling them is a must. Having the understanding that “cats are not small dogs” is important.

Veterinary Assistant Duties may include but not limited to:

• Assisting with taking x-rays
• Loading exam rooms and obtaining medical histories
• Setting up and performing in-clinic tests such as fecal analysis, snap tests and urinalysis
• Filling Prescriptions
• Performing Venipuncture

Compensation is competitive and based on experience ($15.00 and Up).
