    Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Videographer. This position is a combination of creative spirit and technical aptitude. Not only will the videographer shoot and edit content, but will also be an active participant in ideation, planning and storyboarding video. The primary audience will be prospective students, but can include other key stakeholders as well. The ability to create compelling and engaging stories within the established brand identity and guidelines is paramount, and will be done in collaboration with other members of the marketing team.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:
    • Conceptualize, shoot and edit photos and video for marketing and recruiting purposes, used on the Coe College website, distributed via email and used on social media.
    • Collaborate with other campus offices as needed in the overall promotion of Coe College.
    • Shoot and edit video of campus events and events in the Cedar Rapids community as needed (including weekends, evenings and spontaneous events).
    • Maintain an organized video and photo library and general database of projects.
    • Contribute to maintaining and advancing the overall image and marketing materials of the College.
    • Participate in campus visit programs as assigned.
    • Work with student video staff as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3-5 years of professional experience with the creation of promotional videos, photography or other relevant experience. Work experience in higher education is desired.
    • Successful completion of a background and driver checks in accordance with Coe College policy.
    • Business classification drone registration with the Federal Aviation Administration or the ability to successfully obtain registration within the first 90 days of employment.
    • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
    Position Specific:
    • Extensive knowledge of and experience with modern video production software and equipment.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members, and maintain a positive atmosphere while working under time constraints and deadlines.
    • Photography experience is desirable.
    • Demonstrated desire for continuous improvement, including the ability to accept and implement constructive feedback.
