Videographer shoots and creates video content for television, promotions, social, web, and other outlets. Operates and maintains video, lighting, and audio equipment. Being a Videographer incorporates composition and lighting techniques to shoot high-quality video in various indoor or outdoor settings. Utilizes editing software to create graphics, visual assets, and edit footage. Additionally, Videographer typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Videographer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize the Office of Student Life (OSL) brand guides to develop and execute various video-based projects, including, but not limited to, social media content and assets used for various events and internal initiatives. Work with the OSL team on a project-by-project basis, to produce new team materials, and update existing content in a timely and creative manner. Provide coverage of events by filming and editing video footage. This position will also help provide B-Roll photography and videography support for design initiatives. Occasionally work non-standard hours (outside of Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) as events, or photography coverage needs arise. This is less common during the summer, but may occur. Attend required departmental events and meetings, which encourage collaboration, problem solving, and community health in the workplace. Provide input in developing project components and strategies. Provide administrative support, on an as needed basis. Organize and maintain all digital files in Dropbox. Other duties as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is in an office setting. However, work frequently occurs in a variety of other settings; including, but not limited to, residence halls, warehouses, and outdoor activities.
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
