  • SUMMARY
    The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of a successful visual strategy that is consistent with and amplifies brand identity and business objectives.  This position is responsible for creating and maintaining the resources to execute a consistent in-store look and feel that maintains the integrity and uniqueness of our brand.  In collaboration with Operations, Marketing, and Store Development, the Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for the implementation of all planograms and communication to the franchise system for everyday assortments as well as seasonal and local playbooks.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for implementing and communicating corporately developed visual merchandising strategies to dynamically present new and existing products to drive business results and improve the guest experience.
    • Responsible for ensuring stores have successfully implemented instore plan-o-grams and visual merchandising initiatives
    • Build constructive and effective relationships with key corporate stakeholders and franchise partners via consistent and thoughtful communication and two-way dialog with Franchise owners and operators
    • Facilitate change leadership that is required in a fast-moving, high-growth brand
    • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Store Design Teams to develop and drive a consistent look and feel to all Buff City Soap retail locations
    • Support the creation and implementation of new strategies that drive a cohesive customer experience and drives sales
    • Support the process for floor set change outs in all corporately owned locations for everyday, local and seasonal initiatives.
    • Teach, maintain, and support Buff City Soap visual merchandising standards
    • Drives to streamline communication and create efficiencies with all key partners internally and externally to ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently implemented across stores
    • Provide regular updates of current visual presentations and feedback on what is successful and identify areas for improvement
    • Partner with Operations and Training teams to continuously refine training tools to address areas of opportunity in visual execution
    • Provide merchandising direction for all seasonal and new product launches
    • Support the remodel and new store opening processes by partnering with Store Development on optimal space planning and fixture recommendations and providing store specific grand opening planogram direction
    • Lead partnership with the Marketing team to create and produce all necessary creative for in store signage, both digital and print
    • Support the visual presentation of all Corporate store locations
    • Support the strategic planning of future assortment and merchandising changes 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College Degree and/or work-related experience a must
    • 3-5 years of visual merchandising experience; beauty category brick and mortar retail experience a must; franchise experience a plus
    • Knowledge of merchandising, project management, and store design
    • Strong Project Management skills and can manage multiple and competing priorities with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail in a rapid growth environment
    • Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our guests and our company
    • Innovative thinker with an ability to creatively problem-solve
    • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
    • Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
    • Ability to communicate clearly and to audiences of all levels, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
    • Systems and computer proficiency (MS Office & Adobe Creative Suite a must; AutoCAD & SketchUp a plus)
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
