Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor provides vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals in order to facilitate their employment and/or reemployment. Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. This position is for Madison and Buncombe counties with October Road ACTT Team
Experience:
Requires 2 years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Requires Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
(or) Bachelor Degree in any field and 4 years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Requires QP status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104;
