Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor provides vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals in order to facilitate their employment and/or reemployment. Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Assist in preparation and set up treatment areas as directed by therapists in all departments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas; work with clerical tasks and in exercise classes as needed (if applicable); assist with direct patient care in the acute and in outpatient settings; maximize safety of the patient; maintain supplies in all areas; maintain up-to-date log books. Cross trains to be able to relieve other staff members. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager or Director.
High school diploma or equivalent. Good people skills.
