Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor provides vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals in order to facilitate their employment and/or reemployment. Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. - Develop opportunities for interaction between campers and staff.
- Provide opportunities for the group so that each individual experiences success
during camp.
- Provide opportunities for discussion of individual or group problems or concerns.
General Responsibility:
To carry out camp programs.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Guide a cabin group and work with junior counselor in participating successfully
in all aspects of camp activities.
- Carry out established roles for supervising camper health.
- Carry out established roles in enforcing camp safety regulations.
- Help supervise all aspects of the campers’ day including arrival, lunch time, rest
time and departure.
- Teach or lead an activity, as assigned.
- Prepare for and actively participate in staff training, meetings, and supervisory
conferences.
- Set a good example for campers and others including cleanliness, punctuality,
sharing cleanup and chores, sportsmanship, and table manners.
- Follow camp rules and regulations pertaining to smoking, use of alcoholic
beverages, and use of drugs.
- Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, and facilities.
- Perform some maintenance duties such as mowing, cleaning of cabins, etc. as
assigned.

other duties may be assigned as required
