Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor provides vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals in order to facilitate their employment and/or reemployment. Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Primary responsibility is working with persons with disabilities in an employment setting. Prior experience working with persons with disabilities is preferred. Assist participants in learning job skills and job related skills. Consistently follow the individuals' employment plan.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Part time, varied hours area available. Some nights and weekend hours.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent is also required.
