Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor provides vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals in order to facilitate their employment and/or reemployment. Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Counselor to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team designed to provide or arrange access to a full continuum of care for adults with substance use issues.
What You’ll Do
As the Counselor you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. The counselor provides informal counseling that involve behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement and socialization skills for the clients. You will also participate with the client in NA/AA meetings, adventure, social and educational outings an provide transportation to appointments.
How You’ll Benefit
You’ll earn a competitive salary starting at $15.00/hour depending on skills and experience. This full-time position is 3rd shift with rotating weekend coverage. We also offer benefits to those regularly working 30 hours or more per week.
