Evaluates patients' interests, qualifications, and limitations to develop appropriate employment objectives for them. Being a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor requires a bachelor's/master's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. We are hiring for a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Intern, but don't let the term intern fool you, this is a career opportunity! Our interns work full case loads and sit for certification around 18 months from hire. After completing certification, the intern term is shed and your work would continue with our company as a certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors counsel injured workers to assist them in returning to work. They provide services to clients who are referred by the Department of Labor and Industries, various contracted and/or self-insured employers and their representatives, or clients who self-refer for help in developing job seeking skills to aid in their transition back to work. A variety of activities are performed and include, but are not limited to the following:
Requires: Bachelor’s degree, valid Washington state driver’s license, insurable driving record, excellent writing skills, proficient computer skills including MS Office and the ability to learn new programs
