Operations Analyst

  • Duties

    • Serve as Operations Analyst in the Operation, Infrastructure and Security Division and is responsible for the oversight of a variety of actions.
    • Perform analysis of mission programs across the enterprise through coordination with the center Directorates and subordinate units.
    • Manage the execution of the center day to day operation mission and the center’ Internal Control Evaluation Certification of the mission.
    • Carry out high priority assignments, studies, and projects on a wide variety of sensitive and confidential matters.
    • Monitor the timing and sequence of suspense actions in various stages of completion within the Center and command group.
    • Lead major operating systems project, e.g., installation of new operating environments or implementation of new operating systems patches, upgrades, and releases.
    • Provide high-level technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for advanced systems software and complex programming specifications.
    • Serve as a technical expert performing feasibility studies, which involve application of emerging computer technology to resolve unique user requirements.

    • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
    • This position requires a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
    • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

    Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Providing administrative coordination for staff actions and correspondence; 2) Analyzing a variety of situations involved with mission support actions, personnel structure, or organizational structures; 3) Leading major operating systems project, such as installation of new operating environments or implementation of new operating systems patches, upgrades, and releases; and 4) Maintaining an effective suspense control data base system to ensure proper processing of documents or actions.


    Education

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
