Overview:

Assists the Manager in coordinating and supervising the activities of the communications/voice services department on a daily basis. Supervise approximately 10 coworkers and ensures staff is adequately trained and performs their duties in compliance with hospital and department policies and procedures.  Responsible for staffing, coverage, working the switchboard 50% of the time, training new co-workers, assisting manager in maintaining operator software, assuring profile information is up to date and call schedules are entered monthly, and other duties as assigned by manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates degree or equivalent years of experience required
Experience: 2 years management/leadership experience required.
Other: Excellent customer service and communications skills. Experience with multiple 

          computer software systems required

Preferred Experience: Previous switchboard experience
Preferred Other: Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
