Voice Communications Manager is responsible for managing the policies and procedures of voice communications. Ensures uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems. Being a Voice Communications Manager oversees the design and implementation of voice telecommunications networks. Selects vendors and negotiates contracts. Additionally, Voice Communications Manager reviews reports on system specifications in support of system upgrades and makes final decision regarding updates. Involved in long-range or strategic voice communications plans. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Voice Communications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Voice Communications Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary:

    The Site Manager is the overall manager on a single large project.  The Site Manager ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements, including but not limited to:  safety, quality, management and financial performance requirements.  All aspects of the assigned project must be carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management customer care and customer delivery goals.  The Site Manager may supervise one or more PMs on the site.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all project related staff are recruited, hired, trained, managed, supervised, promoted, disciplined and discharged, if necessary. Effectively manage – and escalate if necessary- all human resource issues per Company policies and procedures. Review any subordinate PM’s recommendations for project related employees’ performance ratings, promotions and pay changes. Provide guidance and mentoring to meet all customer and Company goals and objectives.
  • Complete recommendations for subordinate PMs performance ratings.
  • Manage the workload distribution and monitor the customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Plan for, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
  • Review all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to, the preparation of invoices, customer collections and periodic financial reporting to the customer and management.
  • Managing multiple scopes of work that may include structured cable, audio-visual, security and/or life safety.
  • Participating in and/or facilitating the bid process.
  • Manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • Create, develop and implement account process improvement(s).

    • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
    • Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
    • Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
    • Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
    • Must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
    • Must possess the ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
    • Must be able to successfully secure and maintain a Company sponsored American Express Card.

     

    Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

    • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • RCDD certification preferred.
    • Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
    • Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years supervisory or managerial experience.
    • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
    • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/project phases simultaneously.
    • Must be able to supervise subordinate PMs on the project.
    • Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
    • Must be able to use the following trade Tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester and 5-gang punch tool.
