Job Overview

Responsible for the development, execution, and measurement of internal associate communications driving alignment, engagement, and UNFI pride. Develops trusted cross-functional relationships guiding senior leaders and business partners with best practices that enable effective communications. Maintains a deep understanding of associate audiences and their needs to ensure impactful localization of communications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partners with all levels of leadership and cross-functional partners to develop and implement multichannel communications strategies for both non-desk and desk-based associates.
• Identify opportunities to segment audiences and localize key messages to enhance effectiveness.
• Positions UNFI’s narrative across the enterprise within various communications.
• Develops innovative, strategic, and creative solutions to communication challenges to ensure key messages are effectively shared with all audiences.
• Executes strategic writing and content creation for all levels of leadership for all communication mediums.
• Manages a communications content calendar that aligns to the corporate communications strategy.
• Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote content on UNFI’s associate app and offer continuous support to leadership on best practices.

Job Requirements/Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field required
• 5-7 years’ work experience in communications and/or public relations
• Experience in executive/CEO communications preferred
• Excellent abilities in planning, writing, editing, production, and communications technology skills
• Excellent creative ability
