Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice implements the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Coordinates the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice assists with the training and scheduling of volunteer workers and provides immediate support and guidance on issues or questions. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. As a Volunteer you will:
- Provide companionship and support to our Hospice patients and their families.
- Display compassion and care while helping our Hospice patients experience things they love to do or need help with.
- Provide valuable input on the patient's needs.
- Work with team members who share your passion.
- Provide clerical help with the hospice agency when available or needed
Other requirements include:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
- Current California driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
This is NOT a paid position - it is strictly VOLUNTEER
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Up to $1.00 per hour
