Coordinates the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice assists with the training and scheduling of volunteer workers and provides immediate support and guidance on issues or questions. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. Position Description
Maryhurst Volunteer Coordinator:
Maryhurst serves children and families in the greatest need. This VISTA position will expand and refine the volunteer program in order to create sustainability and identify new opportunities. The VISTA member will work to: develop a volunteer cultivation and collaboration plan, conduct research to gain a better understanding of volunteer perspectives, identify areas of growth, and maintain day-to-day operations of the volunteer program. With the support of a KyCC VISTA member, Maryhurst can grow the capacity of the agency and increase the overall impact within the community.
