Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice implements the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Coordinates the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice assists with the training and scheduling of volunteer workers and provides immediate support and guidance on issues or questions. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Volunteer Coordinator - Hospice work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Our volunteer services consist of three main categories: patient and family support services, office staff support, and bereavement services.

    Your role includes:

    • Companionship: Emotional Support, Prayer, Reading.
    • Card Games: Engage in enjoyable card games.
    • Respite Support: Provide relief for primary caregivers.
    • Running Errands: Assist with necessary tasks outside the home.
    • Light Housekeeping: Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
    • Meal Preparation: Contribute to nutritious and delicious meals.
    • Laundry Assistance: Support with laundry tasks.
    • Art: Create art with the patient at bedside.
    • Music: Play music, sing or play your instrument.
    • Life Review/History: Take part in hearing about their life.
    • Deliver Supplies: Deliver supplies to patients.
