Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Qualifications:
1. Valid driver’s license
2. State of Ohio Teacher’s Certificate (preferred, not required)
3. Coaching and administrative abilities
4. Obtain Pupil Activity Supervision Validation
5. Ability to relate to and inspire young athletes
6. Knowledge of the care of and prevention of athletic injuries
7. Organizational skills/resources to enhance the program
8. Skill in oral presentations
9. Able to get along with other coaches
10. Desire to invest time during season
11. Knowledge of training and conditioning techniques
12. Abilty to diagnose player deficiencies/prescribe corrective
activities
13. Current CPR Certification
14. Demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
