Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Position: Volunteer & Operations Coordinator

Type: Part-time, Non-exempt, 20 hrs a week in office
Reports To: Executive Director
Wage Range: $26 - $28/hr DOE
Up to five paid holidays when they fall on a regularly scheduled weekday (New Years Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, and Christmas Day).
One hour of paid sick leave / PTO per 40 hrs. worked in accordance with Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave program. May accrue up to 26 hrs a year, does not roll over.
Position Summary:
The Snohomish Community Food Bank (SCFB) is seeking a dynamic, experienced candidate who is passionate about our mission and able to support our organization with excellence. The Volunteer and Operations Coordinator will support the Director in coordinating the logistical & operational needs of the food bank volunteers and facilities. This role will be responsible for supporting operations, including fundraising, program execution, and volunteer supervision. This role is vital to the success of the Food Bank and is the go-to person for over 130 volunteers. This role may expand as the organization grows.

SCFB is served and supported by individuals, churches, nonprofits, service clubs, grocery stores, corporations, and government and city personnel. One hour can be remote answering emails, calls, and texts on evenings and weekends.
