Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Resale Store Opportunities

Resale Aide: Sort incoming donations, organize inventory in the store, and assist Resale staff with daily tasks.

Cafeteria Aide: Assists the Cafeteria staff to prepare, serve, and clean up meals for clients and their children. Also helps in maintaining the cafeteria facility.
Community Outreach Partner:
Represent RCC in the community at outreach and awareness events. Help to spread the word about special events, donation opportunities, and prevention efforts.
Maintenance Team:
Perform light and general maintenance at our Shelter and other facilities. Maintenance volunteers are called on a rotating, as-needed basis.
Direct Service Opportunities
For those interested in becoming more involved with RCC clients, the following opportunities are available after completing Volunteer Orientation and an additional 20-hour training.

Must be at least 18 years old
Shelter Aide: Helps to maintain a warm and inviting environment in our Shelter by tidying common spaces, assisting with light cleaning tasks, organizing donations and supplies, preparing bedrooms for new clients, etc.
Children's Aide:
Assists with the care and supervisions of children in our Shelter. Facilitate age appropriate games and activities. Tidy and sanitize toys and supplies in the Children's Room.
Client Activities Facilitator:
Plan and implement activities for our clients such as games, movie nights, arts & crafts, holiday parties, etc. - or lead a class to teach our clients a new skill.
Advocacy Opportunities
For dedicated individuals interested in pursuing advocacy for victims in crisis. These opportunities are available after completing Volunteer Orientation and an additional 40-hour certified training.
