Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Greensburg Community Bread of Life is a non-profit agency. Since 2002, Bread of Life has rescued and received over 2 million pounds of food and transformed it into a nutritious, free hot meal. We are a place of hunger relief and a safe haven of Christian fellowship showing all who enter our doors hope, love, and mercy.
We provide a free nutritious meal for the working poor, jobless/homeless, elderly on fixed income, and families in hardship or illness.
We serve a free meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3 pm to 5 pm.

The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director as well as employees and volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator will have duties, tasks, and responsibilities in a wide range. Not only organizing, supervising activities and tasks but also expected to provide training, guidance and inspiration. And never letting any volunteer leave without feeling appreciated.
Responsibilities:

Recording volunteer hours for monthly record keeping
Volunteer orientation/training
Volunteer retention
Monthly Volunteer E Newsletter
Assist with Organizations 2 major fundraisers
Requirements:
· Great communication skills.
· Detail oriented.
· Enjoys working with people.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Education and/or Experience:
· High School diploma equivalency
· Prefer 1-3 years experience with the public
Additional Preferences:
· Experience in Facebook and Canva
